Comic Relief seeking Safeguarding Consultants in Africa

Comic Relief is looking to identify consultant(s) (individuals or organisations) to provide safeguarding support to Comic Relief’s funded partners based in East and Southern Africa. We would like to invest in culturally relevant, context specific capacity building which draws on the knowledge and expertise of individuals and organisations based in the region. We hope to identify a number of different consultants within the region so we can match Partners with the most relevant support based on geographical location and area of thematic expertise.

Comic Relief will assess all applications based on the following criteria:

  • Consultants must be based in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia or Rwanda.

  • Consultants must demonstrate that they have significant experience working on safeguarding and protection in East and Southern Africa.

  • Consultants must have experience providing support, training and capacity building to other organisations.

  • The proposed methodology should contain sufficient flexibility in order that it can be tailored to organisations who vary in size, structure and capacity.

  • The proposal must represent value for money

To apply, please submit a proposal (Max 10 pages) which includes:

  • A summary of relevant experience, areas of specialist expertise and examples of past work

  • An outline of your proposed methodology/approach to providing safeguarding support

  • Consultant Fees/Budget

All applications should be submitted to safeguarding@comicrelief.com by Monday 20th April 2020. Interviews with shortlisted applicants will take place in May 2020.
